Privacy Policy

The short version
LocalStatement converts bank statements entirely inside your browser. Your PDF files, and the data they contain, are never uploaded, transmitted, stored or seen by us. We cannot access them even if we wanted to.
What we process
- Your PDF files: processed locally in your browser using pdf.js. They never leave your device. No exceptions.
- Usage counters: the free-tier page counter and your language preference are stored in your browser's localStorage, on your device only.
- Server logs: this site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, user agent) as any web host does. See GitHub's privacy statement. No page content or file data is ever part of those requests.
- Payments: purchases are processed by Paddle.com (Paddle Payments Ltd) as Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the billing information needed to process your order under Paddle's privacy policy. We receive from Paddle only the information needed to fulfil your purchase (e.g. order reference and email), never your card details.
- Email: if you write to hello@localstatement.com we keep the correspondence to answer you.
What we do NOT do
- No analytics trackers, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting.
- No account creation, no databases of users.
- No cookies other than the technical localStorage entries described above.
Your rights (GDPR)
Since we hold almost no personal data, most rights are satisfied by design. For anything related to email correspondence or purchases, contact hello@localstatement.com and we will answer within 30 days. You can also exercise your rights against Paddle directly for billing data.
